A solid, if rather snowy (!), first racing weekend for Samir at Lydden yielded two 5th place finishes in the two finals and 3rd place in the Sunday heat.

Overall a great weekend and haul of 32 points. The car was right on the pace with top 5 fastest laps in all outings, in all the conditions, damp, dry, sleet and snow so overall a great start.

Like many in the paddock, I suffered from slight miss-fire and power loss during the Sunday final race and I, like them, run a K&N filter. This meant that in addition to the normal pedal dancing, I had to add mid corner clutch slipping so I could keep the revs up and stop the engine cutting out. This technique worked well and proved less of an issue than visibility, with my visor misting on the inside and snow settling on the outside - especially in traffic.

Cadwell is the next outing so I look forward to seeing my Locost friends again then. In the mean time, I have revamped the site a little added a comment function so should you like to add your comments to anything please feel free, it will be good to here from you.
